WHAT?! Elton John did great. Playing as an alternative character worked out swimmingly. His voice is melodious yet he has the ability to quickly morph it. Listen to another rendition of the song with Elton John, it sounds slightly better than the movie version but this one is still great.

I'm sorry, but Elton killed this song. The Who should have done it themselves, or found an artist who could pull it off. The intro sounds wrong on piano, his voice is shit compared to Rodger's, and he CHANGED THE FUCKING LYRICS! Tommy was a fantastic album, and a good movie, but this scene is torture.
