its not irish music persay its more limited to boston area rock if you go down to the clubs there that post most bands its generally the same type of music styling and accent

your right wallace was scottish but he was quoting the irishman in the movie, Stephen. when they're in the woods he says "It's my Island!" and saying braveheart meant where the quote was from. yeesh
